OUR FABRICS

“You know it when you touch it.”

ID’s fabrics come from around the globe.  They are various cotton blends with that extra stretch coming from spandex and other 4-way stretch components.  They had to be sturdy.  But they had to be sensory-soft.  And they had to look cool.  All of our fabrics and clothing can be machine washed and dried at normal settings.

 

We subscribe to the theory of universal design - so that our clothes can be worn by all people, to the greatest extent possible. We design for diversity, social inclusion and equality.  Now that's Independence.

NO OBSTACLES

We removed obstacles to dressing independently, such as buttons, zippers and laces.  Because who needs more things to get in the way of fabulous fabrics and a great fit.  We also nixed the scratchy tags and bulky seams.  Plus our equally meted necklines have a wider opening and our waisbands are more forgiving so everything glides on with ease.

TRACKABILITY

We added compartments for optional GPS devices.  ID is committed to the notion that being safe, and staying safe – are basic human rights.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

We love our designs, but our commitment to the environment means your mailbox won’t be stuffed with paper catalogs. Not even postcards. Independence Day is exclusively digital.  We know about stressed out moms and shopping malls. You won’t waste gas looking for ID Clothing. Purchasing ID Clothing is an online, at home experience.

MADE IN THE USA

We produce 95% of Independence Day Clothing right here in the USA. We know our production team on a first-name basis. We respect their talents, listen to their concerns, and seek their input.  In turn, they share our mission. They know they are making clothes that can make a difference. Clothes that can bring comfort and safety — not just to the wearer, but to those who love them.

We understand if you want to touch and feel our clothes first.
